About Makeup Infusion
My name is Chrissy Grant (Lambert) and I am a freelance Makeup Artist based in Greater Vancouver. I was born in Saskatoon and moved to BC in 2000. As long as I can remember, I have always loved to draw, paint and colour. I took art lessons for several years and constantly found myself drawing faces and people. People’s faces were all so unique and extremely interesting to me.
I stumbled across a Makeup Artist’s book and in it, he described the principles of Makeup Artistry in a way that was so similar to the principles of drawing. The concept of highlight and shadows, as well as shape and definition, triggered something familiar in me and I felt like this could be a path of interest. I had always loved fashion, modeling and all things girly and decided to pursue my interest further.
I moved to BC with the intention of pursuing a career as a Makeup Artist and attended the Blanche MacDonald Centre in Vancouver in 2003, where I earned my diploma as a Makeup Artist. During the program, I had the opportunity to learn everything from basic makeup to airbrushing, special effects and much more.
Since then, I have worked with some amazing people and have expanded my knowledge further by attending expert seminars offered through Lancome and Master Classes through M.A.C. I have met some amazing photographers and have done makeup work for magazines, fashion shows and hundreds of bridal parties!! I love teaching what I know and am happy to share my “insider” tips and tricks.
I created my mobile makeup company, Makeup Infusion, in 2007. Infusion is defined as “The act of infusing or introducing a certain modifying element or quality.” Makeup Infusion is a blend of Personal Style and Custom Makeup, which means that I take your personal style and add my makeup expertise to create a customized look that works perfectly for you.
I love what I do and love to help make a difference in someone else’s life through makeup. It may seem superficial, but to me, makeup is such an amazing tool to help a woman feel confident and beautiful, inside and out.
I can’t forget to share my most favourite thing about makeup… it all washes off at night, leaving you with a fresh palette in the morning. Just the thing a woman needs to play, try something new and be the woman she wants to be!
